Edward Ball March 21st, 1888 - June 24th, 1981 Florida Businessman & Politician became closely associated with the du Pont Family through his Sister's Marriage (Jessie) into the du Ponts and Edward became quite active and even operating many of the DuPont Business Interest. One of his main noteworthy accomplishments was his battle against the railroad unions in the Florida East Coast Railway strike of 1963 to 1977. In order to try to save the railroad from its decades-long state of bankruptcy. Edward was known as a charitable man with contributions aiding crippled children and the indigent elderly. The Wakulla Springs State Park is located just 14 miles south of Tallahassee on S.R. 267 at S.R. 61. Wakulla Springs State Park. Saint Marks is home to the Historical Saint Marks Lighthouse built in 1831 & The Saint Marks Wildlife Refuge.
